Aquatics Manager

Overview

The Aquatics Manager responsibilities include overseeing logistics, scheduling projects, inventory management, client relations, and aquatic staff supervision and workload. The Manager also leads by example, working alongside staff, while conducting aquatic pesticide treatments and nutrient mitigation, and designing & installing aeration/fountain systems.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Limnology, or Aquatic Natural Resources or related experience
  • Ability to lift 85 lbs or greater
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to obtain Wisconsin Aquatic and/or Forestry Commercial Pesticide Applicators License during the training period

Aquatic Biologist

Overview

Aquatic Biologists are responsible for aquatic pesticide treatments and nutrient mitigation, completing water quality studies, AIS and PI surveys and mapping, and making management decisions for the improvement of client ponds or lakes. Biologists interact with clients onsite and compose and prepare professional reports and lake management plans for clients. Aquatic Biologists may also install, maintain and/or repair aeration/fountain systems and other projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education or experience in the field of aquatic resource management is a plus
  • Ability to lift 85 lbs or greater
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to obtain Wisconsin Aquatic and/or Forestry Commercial Pesticide Applicators License during the training period

Aquatic Management Technician

Overview

Aquatic Management Technicians are responsible for aquatic pesticide treatments and nutrient mitigation, preparing & loading materials necessary for project completion. Technicians install, maintain and/or repair aeration/fountain systems, and also assist with other projects, equipment and building maintenance as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to lift 85 lbs or greater
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain Wisconsin Aquatic and/or Forestry Commercial Pesticide Applicators License during the training period

Private Lands Habitat Consultant

Overview

Private Lands Habitat Consultants in the Habitat Division are responsible for logistics and coordination of forestry management, including pesticide treatments for invasive species, prairie plantings, and pond building projects. Consultants will interact with clients and compose and prepare management plans, and work with clients to implement those plans. Consultants may also direct staff and order materials for projects, operate heavy equipment and chainsaws, and other projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education or experience in the field of natural resource management and/or construction
  • Ability to lift 85 lbs or greater
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Mechanical knowledge and/or CDL is a plus
  • Ability to obtain Wisconsin Aquatic and/or Forestry Commercial Pesticide Applicators License during the training period

Heavy Equipment Operator/CDL Driver

Overview

Heavy Equipment Operators/CDL Drivers in the Habitat Division are responsible for operating skidsteers, excavators, small backhoes, trenchers, track loaders and chainsaws to assist in building ponds, restoring wetlands, managing forests and planting prairies. Operators/Drivers will load and haul equipment to job sites. Operators/Drivers may also assist with conducting pesticide treatments, installing materials such as pond liners, tree or prairie plantings, other projects, equipment and building maintenance as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment & chainsaws
  • Ability to obtain CDL. Existing CDL a plus, but willing to train the right candidate
  • Ability to lift 85 lbs or greater
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain Wisconsin Aquatic and/or Forestry Commercial Pesticide Applicators License during the training period

Natural Resources Intern

Overview

Natural Resources Interns are responsible for assisting in the completion of projects and treatments while aiding coworkers with the improvement of client land and water resources. Interns will assist with a wide variety of tasks, including but not limited to aquatic & forestry pesticide treatments, installation of aeration equipment, materials and plantings, preparing and loading materials necessary for project completion and cleaning, maintaining, and organizing equipment, materials and workspaces.

Qualifications
  • Ability to lift 85 lbs or greater
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain Wisconsin Aquatic and/or Forestry Commercial Pesticide Applicators License during the training period

Accounting & Human Resources Director

Overview

The Accounting & HR Director oversees daily financial and human resources operations. The Director maintains the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll records, providing management with financial reports as requested, and supervises office staff and delegates accounting duties appropriately. Key financial responsibilities include processing semi-monthly payroll, timely submission of sales & use and payroll tax returns, and coordinating with an outside accountant for year-end corporate tax filings. Human resource responsibilities include managing employee benefits, maintaining the employee handbook, as well as support for recruiting and screening job candidates and employee performance.

Qualifications
  • Education or experience in accounting, payroll and/or human resources is preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office
  • QuickBooks experience is required

Office Executive Assistant

Overview

The Executive Assistant is responsible for answering client emails and calls, preparing estimates and quotes, lead/proposal tracking and delegation, administrative tasks, and accounting data entry. This position assists all divisions with customer service, sales, and daily business management.

Qualifications
  • Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to report to office location daily
  • Quickbooks experience is a plus
